En Robert Olives i na Nuria Torres han rebut una beca dels Programa Europeu d’Aprenentatge Permanent Leonardo da Vinci per realitzar un mes de pràctiques formatives en un altre país de la Unió Europea que formaran part del seu mòdul de Formació en Centres de Treball (FCT).
En primer lloc, en Robert Olives viatjà aquest fins a Finlàndia, per iniciar les seves pràctiques a l’Oulu Vocational College, un dels centres de formació professional més importants del país. En concret, s’allotja i reb la seva formació a Kempele, on aquest centre compta, entre les seves instal·lacions, amb 3 hivernacles per al cultiu de verdures i plantes ornamentals, una nau industrial per al disseny i construcció d’àrees enjardinades i una floristeria per aprendre les tècniques de venta al públic.
Per altra banda, na Nuria Torres viatjà fins a Polònia per fer un mes de pràctiques al Centre de Jardineria Weber.
Les seves estades formatives tenen lloc gràcies al convenis de col·laboració que té signats l’IES Pasqual Calbó i Caldés amb el Oulu Vocational College de Finlàndia i el centre d’assessorament agrari WODR de Polònia. L’institut manté contactes amb aquestes institucions des de fa més de 3 anys, els quals han permès ja l’estada d’uns 8 alumnes de l’IES Pasqual Calbó a cada país.
